Nimkii Osawamick
Nimkii is a proud Odawa/Potawatomi hailing from Wiikwemkoongsing, Unceded Territory (Ontario, CA). Representing bear clan, Nimkii is a world renown hoop dancer, champion dancer and singer. Over the years, Nimkii has collaborated with and performed on stage with award winning artists—and is now blazing his own path—blending traditional singing drumming and dancing styles with contemporary music and modern dance. Nimkii created DNA in 2013 in order to help educate the surrounding communities to break the stereotypes on Indigenous people through a positive way.
